anything in Excel...

It's Excel-o-lozy...

Shortcut - To select multiple cells, non-contiguous say cells at a gap

To work on Multiple cells in one shot...
say you want to enter or paste same data in A1:A4, B6, D10:15...

There are two methods:
  1. Goto specific range separately and paste one by one, or

  2. Select all different ranges and paste at one go

Now question arises, How to Select non-contiguous ranges?

Simply use MOUSE, by holding down "Ctrl" key and click on required range...

Buttttt.....what about KEYBOARD lovers...????

"Shift+F8", yippe, this is the solution to select distant range of cell/s....

In above example, how to select using keyboard....
Select Range A1:A4 normally i.e. Shift+Arrow keys
Keep down "Shift" key and press "F8"
Now u can move freely to any range while previous selected range wont get deselcted...
Go to B6
again press "Shift"+F8
Now select D10:15....

Now you can type or paste data in multiple-selected ranges...
