How to Format Pivot table data cells permanently, which should not change with the refresh of Pivot.

www.Excelolozy.com - After refreshing Pivot table in Excel, Formatting is screwed and special formatting, if applied, changes to default.
Moreover when a cell is selected for applying a special formatting then only that cell gets formatted rather than the whole column.
To resolve this do as follows:
Here we ll apply the formatting on a cell and it ll be automatically applied to all values in the data column :
  • Right click on the value in a column where formatting is to be appllied.
  • Select "Value field settings…"
  • click "Number format" at the left bottom side.
  • Now format the number as is required and press Ok and again Ok.
Whole column is formatted and remains intact on refresh of pivot.
Good one? yeah thanx ;)
